    The CYBF Celebrates Successful Entrepreneurs and the People Who Guide
    Them

    TORONTO, March 7 /CNW/ - The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF),
will recognize people from across Canada who lead the way in entrepreneurship
at the CYBF 2008 Chairman's Awards Gala on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at the
Royal Ontario Museum/Michael Lee-Chin Crystal in Toronto, generously presented
by Bayview Residences of Victoria, B.C.
    "CYBF recognizes the talent and determination of Canada's young
entrepreneurs nationwide," says Vivian Prokop, CYBF's CEO. "While others may
be sceptical, we are not. We know how successful young entrepreneurs can be,
if given a chance. We're thrilled to honour two internationally-renowned
business leaders, along with our best young entrepreneurs and the mentors and
community partners who guide their way."
    Mr. Michael Lee-Chin, Chairman, Portland Holdings Inc. and Mr. Serge
Godin, Founder and Executive Chairman, CGI Group Inc., will each receive the
2008 CYBF Lifetime Achievement Award at the Gala for their outstanding
contributions to Canada's entrepreneurial spirit.
    "Being an entrepreneur requires the ability to be motivated and focused
on your long term goals so that you can build a legacy. The CYBF Chairman's
Awards recognize entrepreneurs who have succeeded and will continue to excel
in business," said Lee-Chin, a successful entrepreneur. "I am honoured to be
receiving this award."
    Godin, another accomplished entrepreneur, is equally honoured that CYBF
named him a Lifetime Honouree.
    "CYBF has proven that they are able to provide young people with the
tools to shape their own business identity and achieve success," said Godin.
"CGI is based on a climate of innovation and initiative where we empower our
members with a sense of ownership and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit. I'm
pleased to be associated with an organization that shares our common values,
and proud to accept this award on behalf of all of CGI's 26,500 members."
    CYBF is proud to announce its 2008 Chairman's Awards Winners who will be
honoured at the upcoming ceremony. One of these outstanding young
entrepreneurs will receive the National Best Business Award and win
$20,000 for business expansion(*). The winner will be announced at the gala.
