OTPP board member resigns



    TORONTO, April 11 /CNW/ - Thomas C. O'Neill has tendered his resignation
as a member of the board of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers'),
effective immediately. Mr. O'Neill cited a position of conflict, given that he
also sits on the board of BCE Inc. Teachers' filed a Form SC 13D regarding its
ownership position in BCE with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on
Monday, April 9. Mr. O'Neill has been a valued member of Teachers' board since
2003.

    The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is an independent corporation
responsible for investing the $106 billion fund and administering the pensions
of Ontario's 167,000 elementary and secondary school teachers and 104,000
retired teachers.
