ORCCA Names Assurant Solutions' Kingston Unit 'Contact Centre of the Year'



    KINGSTON, Ontario, June 5 /CNW/ -- The Ottawa Regional Contact Centre
Association (ORCCA) announced that the Assurant Solutions operations centre in
Kingston, Ontario was presented its 2008 Contact Centre of the Year award on
June 4 at the association's annual career excellence awards banquet in Ottawa.
    The association annually selects contact centre agents, support
associates and contact centres from nominations submitted by members, in
recognition of consistently delivering quality service to their internal and
external customers. The Assurant Solutions centre was honored in the "more
than 100 agents" category.
    In July, Assurant Solutions celebrates the fifth anniversary of the
opening of its Kingston operations centre. The centre, which is located at
1287 Gardiners Road, currently employs about 260 people. The Kingston facility
provides customer service, claims processing and other operations support for
the Assurant Solutions creditor insurance and extended service plan businesses
in Canada and the United States.

    The Ottawa Regional Contact Centre Associations (ORCCA) is a
not-for-profit organization engaged in facilitating professional development
and networking opportunities for contact centre professionals in Canada's
