Open Text Continues to Extend Livelink ECM for the Enterprise

Delivers New Release of Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server Featuring
Significant Improvements in Performance and User Experience

    LIVELINKUP 2007, ORLANDO, FL, Oct. 25 /CNW/ - Open Text(TM) Corporation
(NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), a global leader in enterprise content management
(ECM), today announced the latest version of Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server,
adding significant new capabilities that improve information worker
productivity and drive user adoption to ease enterprise-wide deployments. The
new version eases integration with an organization's broader IT environment by
utilizing extended Web Services, and leverages the new Open Text Content
Services announced on Monday
    (http://www.opentext.com/news/pr.html?id=1948).
Released at Open Text's LiveLinkUp 2007 conference this week, Livelink
ECM - Enterprise Server continues to evolve in direct response to customer and
market requirements. This latest version features innovations to enhance the
experience of the busy information worker.
"The struggle for new and better ways to bring people and information
together is a constant in large organizations," said Kirk Roberts, President,
Livelink ECM Division at Open Text. "ECM on an enterprise scale is the answer
for a more complete solution to these challenges. But in order to succeed,
organizations need more user-friendly online environments and collaboration
tools to engage staff, improve user adoption and help people work more
productively together. They also need the flexibility to deliver all the
information users need in the business processes that drive an organization."
Roberts adds, "We took these needs into account with this new version of
Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server. We're giving customers the latest
innovations in content collaboration and capture, adding major improvements in
usability and performance, and giving customers unmatched interoperability so
that they can manage all of their business content together. We're also
continuing to meet the demands for scalability and support for important
international standards, which are absolute musts in order to meet the ECM
requirements of global organizations."

User Productivity Enhancements Drive A Better User Experience

The new release of Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server delivers dramatic
performance enhancements to help customers improve staff productivity. The
release features new pagination, search, navigation and results filtering
capabilities. These, combined with improved content caching, allow
organizations to better address the needs of an increasingly global and
distributed workforce.

    New Web Services-based Business APIs

Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server introduces a powerful Web Services based
Business API that provides the ability to leverage development skills IT
organizations possess for integration and interoperability. The new APIs are
available to Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server customers in addition to the
OScript development environment.

Ready to Leverage Open Text Content Services

Livelink ECM - Enterprise Server is ready to leverage Open Text Content
Services introduced this week, consisting of Enterprise Connect, Enterprise
Process Services and Enterprise Library Services. The new services form Open
Text's next-generation content management framework that takes a
repository-agnostic approach to ECM so that customers can unify, manage and
exploit the value of content at the desktop, through business processes and
for archiving and records management.
