IBAO Sponsors Promising Golfer for Second Year in a Row
TORONTO, Feb. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - The Insurance Brokers Association of
Ontario (IBAO) announced today that it is renewing its sponsorship agreement
with Kingsville, Ontario professional golfer Richard Scott.
24 year-old Richard Scott turned pro over a year ago after capping off
his amateur career with a third Canadian Men's Amateur Championship title and
a second place finish at the World Amateur Golf Championships in 2006.
During his first professional season, Scott boasted two top 10
performances while on the Canadian Tour and a victory at The Championship at
Walnut Creek on the Tar Heel Tour. Richard also made it to the second stage of
the gruelling PGA Tour National Qualifying Tournament in an attempt to earn
his PGA Tour card.
"Richard has represented us well and we're proud to be associated with
his success," said IBAO CEO Randy Carroll.
"In our first year in sponsoring him last year, Richard had the chance to
come out and meet some of our brokers on the golf course. We look forward to
holding an event with him again because he's a really sharp young man."
Richard Scott tees off at his first event of the season this week in
South Carolina at the Tar Heel Championship.
The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) is a voluntary
membership organization serving the interests of more than 10,000 independent
insurance brokers across the Province of Ontario.
