Only a few days left to submit your short film to the NFB Online Short Film Competition Cannes Special 2007!



    MONTREAL, April 12 /CNW Telbec/ - This year marks the third edition of
the Online Short Film Competition Cannes Special 2007 presented by the
National Film Board of Canada in collaboration with the Short Film Corner and
Youtube in association with Musique Plus. Over 900 films were submitted to
last year's competition from all over the world and the final films were
viewed over 40 000 times online. Join the fun and frenzy at Cannes 2007.
    Filmmakers can enter the Online Short Film Competition Cannes Special
2007 when they register their films with the Short Film Corner, the meeting
place for short films at Cannes taking place this year May 16-May 26. Register
online at the website www.shortfilmcorner.com. The registration deadline is
April 15, after which ten finalists will be selected by the National Film
Board programming team.
    From May 7-May 21 the public is invited to view the final ten films and
vote for their favourite on the NFB website www.nfb.ca/cannes or on Youtube
www.youtube.com/onfnfb.
    The winner will be announced on www.nfb.ca/cannes on May 23, 2007 and
will receive a mini DV HD professional camera and a computer with
post-production software.
