On this date in history....

    TORONTO, Oct. 9 /CNW/ -

October 9, 1940: John Lennon is born.

October 9, 1982: Wayne Gretzky scores goal number 200 of his career.

    And now...Dalton McGuinty's Do-Over:

In 2003, Dalton McGuinty promised to hire 8,000 more nurses.

After four years of a Dalton McGuinty government the government
hasn't come close to keeping this promise, hiring only 5,200 nurses
according to Dalton McGuinty's website, www.dalton.ca. And this
number includes every part-time, contract, and temporary nurse hired
in the province and does not account for nursing jobs lost - like the
757 Dalton McGuinty spent $91 million to fire in January 2005.

Now it's 2007 and Dalton McGuinty is promising to hire 9,000 more
        nurses.

If you couldn't believe him in 2003 why would you believe him now?
