(OLY, TSX-V), ("the Company") today announced the resignation of Dewar
McCarthy as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance effective
October 31, 2007. This is part of a planned re-alignment of duties and
responsibilities within the related group of Companies due to our extensive
growth over the past couple of years. Dewar moves to an associated Company to
take up a similar role.
The Company would at this time like to introduce Gerhard Barnard as the
incumbent Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance effective
November 01, 2007.
Gerhard comes to us from The Standard Bank of South Africa. Gerhard was
born in Bloemfontein, South Africa, obtained a Master degree of Commerce,
specializing in Financial Management from the University of Johannesburg.
Gerhard has extensive experience in financial and regulatory reporting,
financial management of multi-disciplinary environments and an in-depth
business understanding of processes and strategic value drivers. Gerhard is
married to Luisé, they have two daughters and he is a keen photographer.
