    MOUNT PEARL, NL, June 22 /CNW Telbec/ - On behalf of McKesson Canada, we
proudly invite you to attend our official ribbon cutting ceremony in the
company of the Honourable Dave Denine, Minister for Intergovernmental Affairs
and Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector, Government
of Newfoundland and Labrador, to mark the expansion of McKesson Canada's
pharmaceutical distribution centre in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland.

    Our $1.2 million investment in Newfoundland and Labrador speaks of our
renewed long-term commitment in support of the local economy and the people of
the province. Our new 8,000 square foot expansion signals our firm commitment
to strengthen and grow new and existing relationships with local and
provincial government and our current hospital and retail healthcare partners,
and secure new business to further deepen and expand our operations across the
region.
    The McKesson Canada Mount Pearl distribution centre will provide the
people of Newfoundland and Labrador with improved healthcare safety and
efficiency by virtue of state-of-the art technologies that will further ensure
the integrity of the province's pharmaceutical supply.
    Notable new investments in our facility include radio frequency picking
and put away technology which guarantees safety and accuracy in the
pharmaceutical supply chain. Another significant addition to our expanded
facility includes state-of-the-art fridge monitoring and a newly installed
back-up generator to ensure the round the clock integrity of temperature
sensitive pharmaceuticals in the event of a power failure. In addition, our
Mount Pearl distribution centre will have the unique ability to remain fully
operational in the event of a power failure in order to provide the province's
healthcare facilities with round the clock availability and supply of
pharmaceuticals.
