    Ottawa students Celebrate Skilled Trades Week in Canada at La Cité

    OTTAWA, Oct. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - Students from the Ottawa area will join
will join Annie Beauregard (Team Canada 2007) bronze medalist, Stacy DuBois
(Team Canada 2009), and representatives from the Canadian Hospitality and
Service Industry in celebrating the career opportunities in skilled trades at
a ceremony on Monday, November 3rd at La Cité Collégiale, Les Jardins de la
Cité restaurant in Ottawa.
    Skills/Compétences Canada has the mandate to promote trades and
technology careers. It is hosting Skilled Trades Week in Canada to celebrate
the achievements of young people who have opted for a career in the skilled
trades and technologies. Skilled Trades Week in Canada also highlights the
need for more young people to consider skilled trades and technologies when
they plan their careers.
