TORONTO, July 28 /CNW/ - Today the Ontario Energy Board (the Board)
issued a Decision with Reasons approving applications by Market Hub Partners
Management Inc. (Market Hub) and AltaGas Ltd. (AltaGas) concerning the Sarnia
Airport Pool project in the City of Sarnia, in the County of Lambton.
The project is intended to develop and operate approximately 5.26 billion
cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas working storage. The planned in-service date
is April 2009.
In its Decision, the Board granted the following approvals with certain
- An Order designating the Sarnia Airport Gas Storage Pool as a gas
- Authority to inject gas into, store gas in, and remove gas from, the
Sarnia Airport Pool;
- A favourable report of the Board to the Minister of Natural Resources
to whom the Applicants have applied for licences to drill three
injection/withdrawal wells and to re-enter and complete one
existing well within the proposed Sarnia Airport Pool; and
- Leave to construct approximately 18 kilometres of natural gas
pipeline and associated surface facilities within the proposed Sarnia
