TORONTO, April 23 /CNW/ - Today the Ontario Energy Board (the Board)
issued a Decision and Order on electricity distribution rates for
Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd.'s Newmarket Service Area. The new rates
are effective May 1, 2009.
The impact on the delivery portion of the bill resulting from the
decision will result in a decrease of 4.1% or $1.75 for residential customers
using 1,000 kWh per month. The delivery portion makes up approximately
one-third of the total bill.
