OEB issues Decision and Order approving reductions to retail transmission service rates for Niagara-on-the-Lake Hydro Inc.



    TORONTO, Aug. 13 /CNW/ - Today the Ontario Energy Board (the Board)
issued a Decision and Order approving revisions to Niagara-on-the-Lake Hydro
Inc.'s (Niagara-on-the-Lake) Retail Transmission Service Rates (RTS).

    Niagara-on-the-Lake requested a reduction to the RTS connection rate of
31.3% and approval of a settlement agreement with Hydro One Networks Inc.
(Hydro One) in which Niagara-on-the-Lake agreed to pay Hydro One $335,702 for
Transmission System load assignment charges at the Stanley Transmission
Station.

    The reduction will be reflected on the delivery line of consumer's bills.
The new rates are effective September 1, 2009.
