O Canada! Celebrate Canada Day with Canada's Team



    TORONTO, June 30 /CNW/ - The Toronto Blue Jays announce plans for a
special Canada Day celebration as they face the Tampa Bay Rays on July 1 at
1:07 p.m. at Rogers Centre.
    Canadian songstress Naomi Striemer performs the National Anthems while
Hall of Fame pitcher and Canadian Fergie Jenkins throws out the first pitch to
get the party started. Presenting the colours will be the 22 Wing of the
Canadian Forces, North Bay.
    The team will wear a specially designed Canada Day jersey along with a
Canadian flag branded Blue Jays cap all underlining their pride in being
Canada's team. These items, part of the largest selection of Canada Day Jays
products ever, are available at Jays Shop retail locations.
    After enjoying exciting baseball action, fans will celebrate Canada's
birthday with a post-game fireworks and video presentation.
