Noveko International Inc. Deploys a New Management Structure Subsequent to Recent Developments and Acquisitions



    Establishment of the Subsidiary Noveko Taiwan Co., Ltd (Taiwan)

    MONTREAL, Aug. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - Noveko International Inc. ("Noveko" or
the "Company") announces the creation of several management positions. This
restructuring is subsequent to the recent acquisitions and developments and
the establishment of Noveko Taiwan Co., Ltd. Following the expansion completed
in the past months, the Noveko holding company now has 11 operating
subsidiaries.

    Establishment of Noveko Taiwan Co., Ltd. (Taiwan)
    --------------------------------------------------

    Noveko is in the process of incorporating Noveko Taiwan Co., Ltd., which
has operated in pre-incorporation mode for two months. This new subsidiary is
entirely focused on importing and distributing medical equipment, including
Noveko(TM) antimicrobial face masks and air filters, in some high-potential
Asian markets.

    Restructuring and appointments
    ------------------------------

    "We have restructured our operations and teams and created several
management positions to provide our group with a structure suited to current
and future growth needs, to optimize the expertise brought by the officers of
acquired companies and to fully benefit from their knowledge of our
subsidiaries' target markets. The executives joining us are all highly
qualified and enjoy solid professional experience related to our biomedical
and environmental activities," said André Leroux, Noveko's Chairman of the
Board and Chief Executive Officer.

    This restructuring involved the following appointments:

    
    - Brian Jeffers is appointed Vice President, Sales and Marketing of the
      Company while continuing to act as President of the subsidiary Magnum;
    - Gary Chen is appointed Vice President, Business Development of the
      Company and remains President of the subsidiary Unitam;
    - Roxanne Rinfret, formerly Director, Financial Reporting of the Company,
      is promoted to the position of Vice President, Financial Accounting;
    - Simon Labrecque is appointed Vice President, Products, Filters Division
      of Noveko Inc. and continues to act as President of the subsidiary
      Micron-Air;
    - Dino Abelli is appointed Director, Sales Applied Technology of Noveko
      Inc.; he was formerly Director, Facemask and Filtration with
      Hollingsworth & Vose Company;
    - Li-Yu Lin is named President of the new subsidiary Noveko Taiwan Co.,
      Ltd.; he was formerly in charge of sales, business development and
      strategic planning for a leading medical products company in Taiwan;
      and
    - Chu-We Shen is appointed Vice President of Noveko Taiwan Co., Ltd.
      Mr. Shen has extensive experience acquired notably in sales and
      international marketing in the medical supply industry.

    

    Grant of stock options
    ----------------------

    The members of Noveko's Board of Directors have approved the grant of a
total of 250,000 stock options to some of the group's employees, entitling
them to acquire Class A shares at a price of $2.49 per share, pursuant to the
terms of the Company's Stock Option Plan.

Trading has been recently incorporated in Hungary in order to act as provider
and seller in connection with some of the subsidiaries' products that have a
technological content. Purer Life Technology Co., Ltd., and U-Bond Inc.
specialize in the development and manufacture of filtration fabric. Finally,
BLI is involved in the custom processing and distribution of steel products
based on client specifications.
