teacher-led tours, Explorica Canada will be holding a timely news conference
during Remembrance week at two of the regiments that fought at the Battle of
Ortona - the 48th Highlanders at Moss Park Armoury in Toronto, and the
Hastings & Prince Edward Regiment in Belleville, to announce its biggest ever
tour - "Remembering Ortona," a pilgrimage to commemorate the 65th Anniversary
of the Battle of Ortona, one of Canada's greatest military achievements during

FOCUS: Explorica's next teacher-led tour "Remembering Ortona"
- How the success of Explorica's previous student tour to
commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy
Ridge, France is positively driving higher interest and
participation in the "Remembering Ortona" tour - will double
from 3,000 to 6,000.
- The launch of "Hands Across the Generations" Peace Tower
Flag Quilt - a creative student project that will connect
each tour participant with a Canadian soldier who died in
either the Battle of Ortona and/or in the Italian Campaign,
and with Canadian soldiers currently serving Afghanistan.
- How Explorica's passion for teacher-led educational tours is
contributing to creating greater awareness of Canadian
history and Canada's greatest military achievements.
