stated in U.S. dollars) Northstar Aerospace Inc. ("Northstar") received $48
million in new orders to provide components for new build transmissions and
spare parts for the CH-47 Chinook helicopter during the final two weeks of
Last month, Northstar announced that $28 million of new CH-47 Chinook
orders had been received in 2007 by mid-February. Orders on the CH-47 program
year-to-date in 2007 are $76 million, exceeding full-year orders of
$73 million in 2006. Northstar received $80 million of CH-47 Chinook orders in
2005 and $50 million in 2004.
Northstar's Chicago plant is a key source to the manufacturer for CH-47
gear and transmission components. It also provides repair and overhaul support
for CH-47 aft, forward and combiner transmissions.
