CHICAGO, March 17 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of Northstar Aerospace,
Inc. has appointed Glenn E. Hess as the company's President and Chief
Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2008.
Mr. Hess has an extensive background in the global aerospace industry. He
joins Northstar from Alabama Aircraft Industries, Inc., (AAII) where he was
President, AAII - Birmingham (formerly Pemco Aeroplex), a business focused on
maintenance, repair and overhaul of military and other aircraft.
Previously, Mr. Hess was President and Chief Operating Officer, Bell
Helicopter Textron with responsibility for the company's manufacturing
facilities in Fort Worth and Amarillo, Texas and Mirabel, Quebec.
Mr. Hess was also Vice President and General Manager, Maintenance and
Modification Business Unit, The Boeing Company, with responsibility for
military aircraft operations in San Antonio, Texas, and Wichita, Kansas.
Before joining The Boeing Company in 1997, Mr. Hess held a series of
senior manufacturing and program management positions at McDonnell Aircraft
Company. He joined McDonnell Aircraft from the U.S. Navy where he received an
honorable discharge as an active duty naval aviator.
Mr. Hess earned a Masters, Business Administration degree from Washington
University, a Master of Science (Aerospace Systems Engineering) from the
University of West Florida and a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering)
from Northwestern University.
He will be located at Northstar's corporate office in Chicago, Illinois.
