CHICAGO, IL, July 15 /CNW/ - Northstar Aerospace, Inc. will create
approximately 70 new jobs at its Anderson, Indiana, Chicago, Illinois and
Windsor, Ontario sites to ramp up production of gears, components and spare
parts for the CH-47 Chinook helicopter and Rolls-Royce programs.
The company will add approximately 10 machinists to increase the number
of employees to more than 60 employees at its Anderson facility which opened
in 2006. The Chicago site will add approximately 40 employees for CNC
machining, ID/OD grinding, shaping, hobbing and inspection as well as support
staff for its heat treat, plating and assembly departments. The company's
Windsor site will add approximately 20 machinists and support staff.
Northstar's backlog is more than $450 million compared to $372 million at
the end of 2007. The company has received $114 million of CH-47 orders this
year including $60 million announced in June for the production of gears,
components and spare parts. CH-47 orders in 2007 totaled $167 million.

state-of-the-art, automated machining centers at our Chicago and Phoenix
