for a Premier's Award for Teaching Excellence.
"Everyday, the individuals who work in our schools equip our students
with the tools and knowledge they need to be successful in life," said
Education Minister Kathleen Wynne. "These awards are a great way to say thank
you to the educators and support staff who keep our schools safe and healthy,
and who help Ontario's students reach their full potential."

from across Ontario were the first recipients of the Premier's Awards for
Teaching Excellence.
"As a teacher, seeing my students' enthusiasm and watching them succeed
is a regular reward, but to receive a Premier's Award for Teaching Excellence
made me feel truly honoured," said Carla D'Elia, recipient of the 2006-07
Premier's Award for Teaching Excellence for Outstanding New Teacher. "Just to
be nominated for such a prestigious award is extremely rewarding."
