Nithi Mountain Drilling Update

    Trading Symbol: LWC

CALGARY, June 29 /CNW Telbec/ - Leeward (TSXV - LWC) is pleased to
announce the first set of drilling results from the current drill program on
the Nithi Mountain Moly Project. Two drills have been utilized during this
program with one deployed on the Gamma Zone and the second at West Gamma. The
overall objective of this drilling is to identify a large, moderate to low
grade, bulk tonnage, open pit deposit.
Drilling at Gamma Zone is designed to infill between previous drillholes
at 50m spacing to have sufficient drill density in order to calculate an
initial indicated resource for the zone. In addition, holes have been planned
to test the full dimensions of this moly zone.
The Gamma zone is separated from the Gamma West by faulting. The initial
drilling of the margins of this zone was completed in January and confirmed
the presence of moly mineralization at West Gamma. The current program is
designed to outline the extent of this zone as a guide to more detailed
drilling such as is being completed at Gamma.
Thus far, 28 holes were completed on Gamma. Following are some of the
results received:

The results from the first ten exploration holes on Gamma West Zone have
all been received. They will be released when available.

The moly mineralization on Nithi Mountain has been traced along strike
for 1,500 metres; it still remains open. Further along strike is the "Sigma"
Zone. This zone was last drilled in 1981. Six drillholes were completed with
results similar to the Gamma Zone. In addition north of the Gamma Zone is the
Delta Zone which has only been drill tested on the west side.
Drilling operations are currently suspended for a break and drilling will
resume in mid-July. This should allow the assay results to be complied as a
guide to additional drilling. At present an airborne geophysical survey is in
progress and a LIDAR survey is expected to start shortly. These survey results
will be incorporated into our data base for the project to aid in planning
future drilling.
Management believes the significant progress is being made in regard to
defining a large open pit moly deposit on Nithi Mountain. The results received
thus far on Gamma have expanded the resource base along strike and the width
of this zone. When the current drilling is completed in August, a resource
calculation can be undertaken for this zone.
