Gary Reed urge runners of all levels to get involved in global event
VANCOUVER, June 2 /CNW/ - Olympic triathlete Simon Whitfield and World
championship silver medalist Gary Reed appeared in Vancouver today to
encourage runners of all levels to register in what promises to be the world's
biggest one day running event ever. Nike+ Human Race offers runners across the
globe the chance to compete together on August 31, 2008.
The 10k event will span multiple continents on the same day and cover 25
cities, including New York, London, Madrid, Paris, Istanbul, Melbourne,
Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Vancouver and will end in Los Angeles. The goal for
participation is one million runners worldwide.
While the official Canadian leg of the global race will take place in
Vancouver, Canadian runners outside of Vancouver can participate and run in
their hometown by tracking their distance and pace using Nike+. Runners
