Nicholas Campbell to Host CFTPA Indie Awards - National Jury set to begin deliberations



    OTTAWA, Feb. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canadian Film and Television Production
Association (CFTPA) is extremely pleased to announce critically-acclaimed and
multi-award winning actor and director Nicholas Campbell as the host of the
Awards ceremony. The CFTPA is equally pleased to announce the five members of
the 2008 CFTPA Indie Awards National Jury.
    Join Nick Campbell on February 20th, 2008 at the inaugural CFTPA Indie
Awards Ceremony following the opening reception of Prime Time in Ottawa. The
CFTPA Indie Awards are specifically intended to recognize and celebrate
outstanding Canadian producer achievement in ten specific categories of
feature film, television and interactive media content.

    Nick Campbell has won multiple Gemini Awards for Best Performance by an
Actor in a continuing leading dramatic role for his portrayal of Modern-Day
Renaissance Man, Domenic DaVinci in Canada's most popular series, Da Vinci's
Inquest. In addition to his notable acting career, Campbell is also an
accomplished filmmaker. He wrote and directed the documentary Stepping Razor;
Red X (Genie Nomination for Best Documentary and numerous honours at
international film festivals).

    Prime Time in Ottawa has become a must-attend industry event with over
600 delegates from all regions of the country. Sold-out each year, this event
plays host a broad cross-section of the production industry, as well as
broadcasters, distributors, exhibitors, cable and satellite providers,
