News advisory - Petroleum Regulator To Announce Changes



    HALIFAX, April 18 /CNW/ - Nova Scotia's oil and gas industry has seen a
downturn in exploration in recent years. But as energy prices climb and
explorers consider new frontiers for discoveries, Nova Scotia will move into
an increasingly favorable position.
    The chair of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB),
Diana Dalton, will announce new terms and conditions affecting exploration of
the offshore of Nova Scotia in a speech hosted by the Offshore/Onshore
Technologies Association of Nova Scotia.
    CNSOPB is responsible for regulating petroleum activities for Nova
Scotia's offshore.
