Donor Gateway Inc. incorporates customer feedback into new version
TORONTO, July 2 /CNW/ - Donor Gateway Inc. (DGI) today announced the
release of a new version of The Mapping Tool: Canadian Nonprofit Director
Edition (CNDE). The new features in this latest version are directly tied to
comments and requests of DGI clients and prospective clients. A significant
upgrade to the CNDE, the new features enhance the user experience, delivering
printing and saving abilities, new layout options with drag and drop features,
selective mapping of specific prospects, more data and details on prospects,
more efficient use of space, enhanced zooming and a fresh new look.
"One of our core values at DGI is service excellence by providing quality
products and services to our clients that are relevant to their needs. One of
the ways we fulfill this is by listening to client feedback and following
through, constantly updating and improving our products," said Emily
MacKinnon, CEO, Donor Gateway Inc. "We are committed to providing our clients
with software updates every quarter and data updates every two weeks. So far
we've sent updates far more frequently than that."
DGI launched The Mapping Tool Series in February 2008. A directory of
nonprofit directors in Canada, the CNDE gives the user the ability to search
for a person or organization, and graphically map out their relationships. At
the time of launch, the CNDE had 650 not-for-profit organizations included in
the database and just over 12,000 people who sit on their boards. It now
includes well over 700 organizations and over 15,000 people who sit on their
boards. The company anticipates the growth of its database to continue at a
"With the click of a mouse, our clients are able to display information
that might have taken them several days or more to research manually. We save
them time and resources so that they are able to focus on strategic analysis
and other important tasks to advance their fundraising goals," said Anissa
Hilborn, President, Donor Gateway Inc. "The latest release significantly
enhances the user experience."
DGI's clients agree. "We use it every single day at Sunnybrook
Foundation," said Jennifer Zhang, Research Director, Sunnybrook Foundation.
"Information on nonprofit board affiliations is usually hard to find. If it's
not listed in the biographical paragraphs or Who's Who entries, you'd need to
spend lots of time Googling it. We've been using this product for a few months
now and I find the data accurate and up-to-date. I often see data uploads."
DGI has several other products in development, slated to release over the
next year. The full suite of products in The Mapping Tool Series are scheduled
to be on the market by mid-2009.
