New crew takes effort out of tech procurement

Grand & Toy offers advanced technology experts to assess big business
    needs

TORONTO, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - Companies with unique technology needs can now
get a helping hand from Canada's leader for complete business solutions with
the introduction of a specialized team of technology experts catering to their
every need.
Grand & Toy offers more than 250,000 technology products through its
recently enhanced online offering, accessible to all customer account holders,
and has established a new team of Tech Solutions Advisors to help customers
get the products that best meet their needs free of charge.
"It's about getting it right the first time," said Mark Lorne, general
manager of technology and business imaging for Grand & Toy. "Today's
technology changes quickly, leaving many customers unsure about what sorts of
products will best meet their needs. Our team of advisors is fully equipped to
help determine the technology products that will allow businesses to run
effectively and efficiently."
The advanced team will be on hand to assist not only with queries, but
also to help source unique or rare product requests that are often difficult
to access. The advisors will work in close conjunction with Grand & Toy's 26
regional Tech Product Specialists based in most major markets in Canada. The
specialists will conduct on-site visits to businesses that are unsure of their
technology needs, and help them determine the most appropriate technology
products based on the nature of their business.
"The new team is part of our strategy to not just sell products, but to
offer our customers a superior experience by serving as their ally, their
business partner," said Lorne. "We want them to know we're proactively looking
out for their best interest and making sure they get what they really need
without hassle or delay."
Grand & Toy customers can comparison shop online for top-rated technology
brands, including HP, IBM, Microsoft, Canon, and Lexmark using CNET content,
the industry standard for showcasing technology products. They can also
determine the availability of products before ordering. For out-of-stock
product requests, an alternative will be suggested or the original request
will be expedited. Once purchased, in-stock products will usually be shipped
within one to three business days.
The new tech team is available between 9 am and 7 pm EST and can provide
assistance in both English and French.
