National Energy Board presents Canada's winter energy outlook



    CALGARY, Oct. 28 /CNW/ - The National Energy Board (NEB) will hold a
technical briefing to discuss Canada's winter energy outlook on Thursday,
30 October 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
    The briefing is open to Calgary-based media. It will include a short
presentation by NEB technical experts followed by a question and answer
session.
    This technical briefing will present the outlook for supply and storage
as well as price pressures for Canada's major energy markets of oil, natural
gas and electricity.

    The NEB is an independent federal agency that regulates several parts of
Canada's energy industry. The NEB's purpose is to promote safety and security,
environmental protection and efficient energy infrastructure and markets in
the Canadian public interest, within the mandate set by Parliament in the
regulation of pipelines, energy development and trade. As part of its mandate,
the NEB monitors the supply of all energy commodities in Canada and reports
its findings.
