Naked Eye Magazine Marks Its First Anniversary

Naked Eye Magazine, Canada's only pop culture source, is back on stands
with Canadian cover girl Emmanuelle Chriqui.

MONTREAL, Oct. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - "Emmanuelle is sexy, smart and
ridiculously nice," says Editor-in-Chief Eve Thomas. "The perfect Canadian,
and the perfect cover for our first anniversary issue."
The Montreal-born, Toronto-raised daughter of Moroccan immigrants,
Emmanuelle Chriqui's star is on the rise (and not just on Maxim and FHM's
"sexiest" lists). She will be making a highly anticipated appearance as Sloan
on Entourage this fall and co-stars with Oscar winner Adrien Brody in the
upcoming Cadillac Records. The actress tells all about working within the
studio system and why she's eager to let out her "dark side." She's also got a
thing or two to say about Perez Hilton, America's problem with on-screen
nudity, and an upcoming cameo that has her playing a wheelchair-bound
stripper.
Other exclusives in our Autumn "Thriller" Issue include: romantic advice
from Spencer "Spenny" Rice, Lost Boy found Corey Haim, an in-depth look at
roller derby, a chat with the boys behind indie comedy Who is KK Downey?,
celebrity chef Martin Picard, and interviews with Alanis Morissette,
Santogold, MGMT, Melky Jean, Calexico, and Ripcordz front man Paul Gott.
All this in addition to the usual kitschy bits Naked Eye readers know and
love. A quiz asking "Which Golden Girl Are You?" (with free cut-out masks just
in time for Halloween!), Rue Morgue Editor-in-Chief Jovanka Vuckovic's horror
movie picks, primers on TIFF '08 and the fall TV season (including a visit to
the set of Mad Men), and Canadian celebs Patrick McKenna, Natasha Eloi and
Adrian Mainella weighing in on what to do if your one-night stand has a gnarly
tattoo. Plus some amazing photo shoots featuring everything from
not-so-desperate lingerie-clad housewives to models caught in horror movie
clichés.

At 200 pages, this issue is our biggest - and BEST - to date!

Also this fall, Naked Eye is offering students across the country the
chance to participate in a journalism contest for cash, prizes and publication
opportunities. For more information on the contest rules and guidelines,
students can pick up the autumn 2008 issue of Naked Eye or visit
