VICTORIA, BC, March 22 /CNW/ - With the delivery of a third large-scale
floor sensor, Tactex Controls Inc. completed another stage in a project for a
major multinational corporation this week. The same customer has placed an
order for a fourth system to be delivered in the coming months.
Buoyed by the success of their preliminary evaluations, researchers
working with the customer hope the Tactex technology will provide the data
needed to see significant advancements in the fields of falls prevention, gait
analysis, remote patient monitoring and proactive health and wellness. Tactex
has provided a solution which is unique in the industry for its ability to
detect and report on even minute variations in movement.
The development of the floor sensor also represents an important step
forward for Tactex and its Kinotex(R) technology. Funding from the project has
resulted in the creation of a simple, transferable method of manufacturing
large, rigid sensors for use in multiple applications.
