the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards airs live on Thursday, November 6 at 3 p.m.
ET (repeating later that evening at 10 p.m. ET/PT). In true MTV2
multi-platform style, viewers can choose how to catch Europe's biggest music

slacking off from work or school!) Back for its 15th year, the EMAs promises
to deliver some of the most recognizable names in the industry hitting the

Hosted by hot pop newcomer Katy Perry, the EMAs is gearing up to be one
of the most unforgettable nights in music this year. Scheduled performances
include: sultry superstar Beyoncé, hip hop icon Kanye West, pop rocker P!nk,
soul-singer Duffy, rockers The Killers, R&B singer Estelle, Kid Rock; and,
returning to perform on the EMAs stage for the first time since 1994, pop band
This year's nominees for the 2008 Europe Music Awards include everyone
from pop princesses and R&B divas to bad boy rockers and hip hop heavyweights.
With three nominations, including one for Album of the Year, Welsh newcomer
Duffy ties pop icon Britney Spears and international superstars Coldplay for
the most nods. Host Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Tokio Hotel, Leona Lewis,
Metallica, and Linkin' Park each have two nominations. Battling it out for the
Most Addictive Track award are Coldplay's "Vida La Vida," Duffy's "Mercy,"
Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl," Kid Rock's "All Summer Long," and P!nk's "So
What." Presenters confirmed for the evening include: 80s icon Grace Jones, R&B
songstress Solange Knowles, British pop group Sugababes, Italian singer
Tiziano Ferro, pop rockers Tokio Hotel, and lead singer Travis from the pop
band Gym Class Heroes.
