Moxie's Goes Extreme with Ryan Blais Sponsorship

Company has supported Canadian Ski Team member since amateur stage

CALGARY, Oct. 9 /CNW/ - Moxie's Classic Grill and Shark Club today
announced a four-year sponsorship agreement with Canadian National Freestyle
Aerial Skier Ryan Blais. The agreement makes Moxie's the athlete's title
sponsor in the lead-up to, and including, the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
Now in his seventh season as a World Cup team member, Blais ranked fourth
for the 2005-2006 World Cup season and narrowly missed a spot on the 2006
Olympic team. An Alberta native, Blais trains full time during the off-season
at the Yves Laroche water ramp in Lac Beauport, Quebec.
"Moxie's has supported Ryan since his days as an amateur athlete in
Grande Prairie," says Laurids Skaarup, President of Moxie's Classic Grill and
Shark Club. "We are very proud of Ryan. It has been a pleasure to be part of
his Olympic dream for so many years. Ryan is a great ambassador for the sport
and his dedication to his community reflects the values we cherish as an
organization."
In addition to his own personal training commitments, Blais recently
founded the Come Fly With Me Foundation, an organization that provides funding
support and sport service subsidies for Grande Prairie and area amateur
athletes.
"Communities should take pride in their athletes, and in turn, athletes
should take pride in their community," said Blais, "Moxie's and Shark Club
have supported me from early in my career and as I work toward the podium in
2010 that support is more important than ever to help me bring home a medal."
