Olympian gearing up for the ride of his life
VANCOUVER, March 30 /CNW/ - We all know how scenic Vancouver Island,
Sunshine Coast and Sea-to-Sky Country are to drive. But almost 400 mountain
bikers from around the world will go off-road to tackle the 500-kilometre
route in one of North America's greatest races.
The inaugural BC Bike Race begins July 1 in Victoria. The epic,
seven-stage race winds through nine beautiful west coast communities, from the
Pacific shores of capital city Victoria to the Olympic village of Whistler.
The test of endurance will showcase amazing athletes racing amid the
awe-inspiring natural beauty that makes southwest British Columbia a
world-class destination for adventurers and tourists alike.
BC Bike Race is much more than a challenging off road-ride. It is the
true Sea-to-Sky experience offering riders spectacular scenery, fascinating
culture, interesting people, and the challenge of a lifetime!
