Mortgage Alliance Launches Consumer Credit Protection



    TORONTO, Dec. 13 /CNW/ - Mortgage fraud and identity theft has been the
focus of the industry and media during the past year. In response to this
trend and as part of our overall costumer focus, "Mortgage Alliance" as
Canada's mortgage leader, is embarking on a new initiative that will help to
educate consumers regarding their credit status - how to monitor it and just
as importantly, how to protect it!
    With this, we are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership between
Mortgage Alliance and TransUnion - a recognized industry leader in credit
monitoring and protection.
    This new partnership will allow Mortgage Alliance Consultants to offer
personal Credit Check and Protection Services at a discount rate to their
clients all online!

    
    Here is what the new service will offer clients:

        -  Credit Profile Check: This service gives clients a snapshot of
           their credit history. It's a credit profile containing information
           about who's been looking at their profile, if their payments have
           been posted on time, and a list of creditor contacts. Under this
           service, clients can also choose the option to view their credit
           score for an additional charge which will also provide them with
           an analysis of their credit with a comparison to the rest of the
           Canadian population.

        -  Credit Monitoring: Dealing with one of today's unfortunate trends,
           credit monitoring provides ID theft protection and comprehensive
           credit management. Clients who sign up for the service receive
           weekly email alerts to keep them informed about any credit profile
           changes and potential fraud. They also get quarterly access to
           their credit profile with analytical tools. A few optional add on
           services related to credit monitoring informs clients of how their
           credit decisions impact their ability to borrow and advise on
           steps to improve their score and manage their progress.
    

    Being able to offer these services to our clients at a discounted rate is
a great "value added" benefit and supports Mortgage Alliance's efforts towards
educating clients and making the process of obtaining a mortgage as easy as
possible.
    The service is launching on Wednesday December 12th and is exclusively
