Realizing that the transition from home to school is crucial for
children, Welcome to Kindergarten is a program designed to prepare children
and their families for this new adventure and to introduce children to the
excitement of a lifetime of learning. The Welcome to Kindergarten calendar is
not just a calendar. It is a useful tool, filled with information that helps
families throughout the year. Staples Business Depot has made this calendar
possible through their generous donation.
"Kindergarten is one of the most important steps for children and we are
pleased to be working with provinces and school boards across Canada to make
this step exciting for children and their families," said Veronica Lacey. "We
are excited to be partnering with Staples Business Depot. We could not offer
this outstanding resource without their commitment and we are thrilled that
thousands of families will have the opportunity to use this tool to help in
their child's first year at school."
This September, The Learning Partnership will be distributing calendars
to 55,000 students and their families through schools participating in the
Welcome to Kindergarten program. This incredible resource will also be sold
for $3.99 at selected STAPLES Business Depot and Bureau en Gros locations
across the country. A portion of the sales are being donated back to The
Learning Partnership's Welcome to Kindergarten program.
"We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to partner with an
organization that dedicates itself with bettering public education in Canada,"
