TORONTO, Aug. 21, 2008 /CNW/ - GO Transit is making the trip to school
even easier for college and university students with improved service and some
new bus trips. School service will resume and new trips will start on Sunday,
School service routes that are resuming or that have new trips include:
Lakeshore West GO Train and Bus (table 1); Georgetown GO Train and Bus (table
31 to 33C); Hwy. 407 East and West GO Bus (table 29, 46, 50, and 52);
Newmarket York U GO Bus (table 64); and Durham College-UOIT GO Bus (table 93).
Students from the University of Guelph, McMaster University, Sheridan
College, York University, Durham College-UOIT, U of T Scarborough, and
Centennial College use the GO to get to and from school.
School specific route information is available under the Schedules
section at gotransit.com.
Service improvements and new trips will also be added to many other GO
routes, and some train schedules are changing to better reflect typical
arrival times at Union Station.
On Labour Day, Monday, September 1, GO Train and Bus service will operate
on a Holiday schedule.
