Montreal Firefighters - The Montreal Firefighters Association helps fight cancer

MONTREAL, June 30 /CNW Telbec/ - Today, approximately two in five people
will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Almost everyone
will have a loved one who is affected directly. We have witnessed the courage
of those who have died, the resolve of those who have survived and the
determination and will power of those who now battle the disease.
This summer Kyle Bratz, Andrew Hopkins, Steve Coleman and Alex Gray are
cycling across Canada to raise awareness and funds to combat cancer.
Firefighters are often stricken with cancer and at rates that are higher than
the national average; it is for this reason the Montreal Firefighters
Association proudly supports their cause.
Join us today at 15h00 as Montreal Firefighters help fight cancer by
welcoming the Typically Canadian team at Station 31 (7041 Saint Dominique) on
their Montréal stop. On place you'll be able to meet these heroes as well as
the brave individuals that protect your lives on a daily basis. The Montreal
Firefighters Auxiliary will have several of their antique fire trucks on
display; truly an event not to be missed!
Weather permitting hot dogs and refreshments will be served in return for
a donation; all monies raised will be remitted by the Typically Canadian
Challenge to the Canadian Cancer Society.
