Life-saving accident avoidance technology is now available to drivers and
truckers through Dealers' Edge network of nearly 200 new- and used-car
dealers, small fleets and specialty shops

LOS ANGELES, May 7 /CNW/ - Mobileye, a global pioneer and leader in
vision-based driver assistance systems and analytics for leading automotive
manufacturers and suppliers, announces a distribution relationship with
Vancouver, B.C.-based Dealers' Edge, one of Canada's premier sound and
security installers and distributors.
Effective immediately, Mobileye's Advance Warning System (AWS)
aftermarket driver assistance products will be accessible to the Dealers' Edge
network of nearly 200 new- and used-car dealers, small fleets and specialty
shops, as well as recreational vehicles, motor homes and heavy trucks
throughout Canada.
With driver distraction playing an ever-increasing role in accidents and
fatalities, business and consumer demand for in-vehicle real-time safety
solutions is on the rise. Innovative Mobileye driver assistance technologies,
such as forward collision warning, headway monitoring and lane departure
warning systems, help alert drivers to potentially life-threatening
situations.
The ability to save lives via intelligent vision-based technology is one
area that automotive manufacturers, fleet operators, consumers and government
agencies like the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) agree
on as a safety solution. The popularity of Mobileye's technologies is further
evidenced by the growing number of OEMs--such as BMW and Volvo--that are
integrating the life-saving systems into their vehicles.
The only aftermarket driver safety solution offering the three essential
accident-prevention warnings in one unit, Mobileye AWS includes a camera
located on the front windshield inside the vehicle and utilizes Mobileye's
advanced vision technologies to detect and measure the distance to vehicles
and lane markings, providing the driver with timely alerts.
The newly formed alliance will provide Dealers' Edge customers with
immediate access to Mobileye's AWS-4000 and AWS-2000 systems, which offer the
most comprehensive and cost-effective accident prevention systems on the
market.

Mobileye AWS-4000 is a unique, camera-based safety solution for accident
prevention and mitigation, preventing injuries and saving lives. The system
includes a camera located on the windshield inside the vehicle and utilizes
Mobileye's advanced vision technologies to detect and measure the distance to
vehicles and lane markings, providing the driver with: forward collision
warning; lane-departure warning; and headway monitoring and warning.

Mobileye AWS-2000 offers audio alerts to ensure safe lane and forward
collision warning in the most compact and cost effective product to date. The
technology provides: forward collision warning for highway and urban
utilization; lane-departure warning, and an option to easily adjust the alerts
and volume at any time.
