Mitsubishi Motors chooses Right To Play as their official charity

Athletic Brand commits to athlete driven international humanitarian
    organization

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Jan. 11 /CNW/ - Right To Play, the extremely well
respected international children's humanitarian organization has been chosen
by Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada Inc. (MMSCAN) as their official sports
charity of record for 2008 and beyond, Koji Soga, President and CEO for MMSCAN
announced today.
Currently operating in 23 countries, Right To Play is an athlete driven
international organization that uses specially designed sport and play
programs to improve health, build life skills, and foster peace for children
and communities affected by war, poverty and disease. Headquartered in
Toronto, and headed by Johann Koss, four time Olympic gold medalist, Right To
Play's ongoing vision is to create a healthier and safer world through the
power of sport and play.
"At Mitsubishi, we are currently pursuing a multi-dimensional, national
in scope, sports marketing program that actively touches several key areas of
amateur Canadian sport", said Larry Futers, Director, National Marketing, "but
none of them can be equated to the incredible challenge that Right To Play has
chosen to face on a daily basis. I can genuinely say that we are proud to be
associated with such a worthy organization."
In 2008, MMSCAN will raise significant funds for Right To Play, and when
all elements of the strategy are executed, that contribution will only
increase. In addition to direct financial support, it is the intention of
MMSCAN to work closely with Right To Play personnel in developing innovative
marketing initiatives that will help to build Right To Play's public profile,
raise and solidify their brand awareness, and facilitate creative fund raising
activities.
"As an international organization, Right To Play constantly seeks
innovative partnerships to leverage the power of sport and play to improve
health, life skills, and foster peace for children and communities in the most
disadvantaged areas of the world," said Johann Koss, President and CEO of
Right To Play, "Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada is such an outstanding
partner and I would like to recognize and thank them for the corporate
leadership they have demonstrated by investing in children and sharing our
vision to create a healthier and safer world through the power of sport and
play."
