Mitsubishi Donates 15 Vehicles to Canadian Teaching Facilities - Red Deer College Receives 2008 Outlander



    MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 4 /CNW/ - Today, Mitsubishi Motor Sales Of Canada
Inc. (MMSCAN) donated a vehicle to Red Deer College in Red Deer, Alberta as
part of its commitment to donate fifteen vehicles to support Canadian teaching
facilities across the country.
    Red Deer College is one of several organizations in Canada that will
receive a vehicle, where it will be used for training students in the
Automotive Service Technician (AST) program.
    Gilbert Renaud, Chair of the AST Program, was on hand to receive the keys
to a 2008 Outlander from Peter Boutros, Manager, Technical Services for
MMSCAN. This ceremony marked the beginning of the donations to teaching
facilities across the country.
    "We're honored to be able to support organizations like Red Deer
College," said Boutros. "Preparing technicians how to work on new vehicles
with the most recent technologies is integral to their success in the real
world and adds value to our brand".
    "Receiving this vehicle from Mitsubishi will enable all of us to keep
up-to-date on the latest technologies", said Renaud. "Working along side
Mitsubishi will enable us to teach and test the students knowledge in real
world terms".
    Red Deer College is a comprehensive community college that has been
educating students since 1964. Red Deer College is committed to being the
leading comprehensive college, serving learners and communities through
excellence and innovation.
    Additional organizations that will be receiving one or more vehicles
include, the Alberta Vehicle Extrication Association (AVEA), British Columbia
Institute of Technology, Centennial College, Mohawk College, Emergency Medical
Services and the Ontario Police College.
