MONTREAL, April 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Mitec Telecom Inc. ("Mitec") (TSX:
MTM), a leading designer and manufacturer of mobile wireless, fixed wireless,
broadcast and satellite components, announced today that it has received a
multi-site order from a major Canadian telecom operator. This new order
resulted from a successful network trial involving the company's coverage
solution products which was announced in February, 2009.
"Having succeeded with the initial trial, this customer has given us a
further opportunity to resolve some of their network issues and enhance the
performance of their network over a larger area. Assuming we are successful,
additional sites will be added." said Mitec President & CEO Dan Piergentili.
Rather than going to the expense of constructing a new wireless network,
Mitec customers around the world have used its coverage solution products to
improve the performance of their existing wireless networks.
"Our coverage solution product line has already proven itself with our
current customer base. While the target markets for these solutions are
widespread, we are especially happy to see our products being used to help
resolve network issues that will benefit Canadian wireless customers," added
