McGuinty Government Lauds Spirit Of Partnership Between Doctors And The
    Province

    TORONTO, May 3 /CNW/ -

    NEWS

Health and Long-Term Care Minister David Caplan welcomed Dr. Suzanne
Strasberg as the incoming president to the Ontario Medical Association (OMA)
last night at their annual gala.
The OMA and McGuinty government have formed many important partnerships
aimed at improving access to quality family care and reducing wait times for
all Ontarians. These initiatives include the implementation of Health Care
Connect, a program, launched last February that works to connect patients with
physicians in their community who are taking on new patients.
The OMA has also strongly supported Family Health Teams, which offer
collaborative care through a team of physicians, nurses and other
interdisciplinary health care providers.
