WINNIPEG, March 1 /CNW/ - The Top Prize on last night's MILLIONAIRE LIFE
draw has been won by one lucky ticket sold in Winnipeg. The ticket - eligible
for a prize of $1 Million a Year for 25 Years - contains the eight-digit
Lottery officials have not heard from the winner, or winners, at this
time. When the ticket is presented for prize claim, the winner will have the
option of receiving either $1 Million a Year for 25 Years, or a one-time lump
sum payment of $17 Million.
This is the fourth multi-million Jackpot won by Manitoba lottery players
in the past five weeks - with each of the first three wins coming on
LOTTO 6/49. A Brandon woman started the winning streak with a win of
$4.6 Million on January 24th draw. Two weeks later, a Winnipeg couple laid
claim to $4.2 Million on the February 7th draw. And a Winnipeg woman used a
tarot card reading to win $6.8 Million on February 21st.
The Prairies and Territories also won four of the $100,000 prizes offered
on the game. Two of these winning tickets were sold in Alberta (outside
Edmonton and Calgary), one was sold in Edmonton, and one was sold in
Revenue generated from Manitoba Lotteries gaming products and services
have a direct and positive impact on Manitobans with net revenue allocated
towards government programs in health care, education, social and community
services and economic development.
