WINNIPEG, Feb. 11 /CNW/ - Lottery players have only a few days left to
become a MILLIONAIRE LIFE "Early Bird".
MILLIONAIRE LIFE is a limited-time game available at lottery retailers
during the month of February only - in 2008, that means tickets are available
for sale for just 29 days.
The Top Prize is a $1 Million a year for 25 years. There are also four
prizes of $1 Million and 36 prizes of $100,000. That's where the Early Birds
come in. Sixteen of the 36 $100,000 prizes will only be drawn from Selections
sold between February 1st and 16th. The draw for all MILLIONAIRE LIFE prizes -
including the Early Bird prizes - will occur the evening of February 29th.
MILLIONAIRE LIFE made its debut last year and proved to be very popular
throughout the Prairies and Territories. Across the region, people lined up
all month long to buy their tickets on this national game.
That western enthusiasm paid off. The Top Prize was won by a ticket
purchased in Winnipeg - a ticket belonging to an uncle and nephew who entered
the ranks of Canada's lottery millionaires.
Unlike many lottery games, the winning MILLIONAIRE LIFE numbers will be
drawn only from the numbers sold, meaning there will be guaranteed winners for
each of the 41 major prizes. Available by Quick Pick only, every Selection is
unique and not available to any other player in Canada. Players can choose
between three price points: one Selection for $5; three Selections on the same
ticket for $10 or seven Selections on the same ticket for $20.
The Early Bird deadline of February 16th is fast approaching - and Early
Birds get extra chances to win!
In Saskatchewan, proceeds from lottery products such as
MILLIONAIRE LIFE help to fund more than 12,000 volunteer
sport, culture and recreational groups.
