Military Service Recognition Book Project

CALGARY, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - Alberta-NWT Command of The Royal Canadian
Legion is proud to announce the printing of the first of its Military
Recognition Books to help identify and recognize many of the brave military
personnel of Alberta and the Northwest Territories who have served Canada in
times of great conflict. This book will go a long way to help the Legion in
their task as the "Keepers of Remembrance" so that none of us forget the
selfless contributions made by our Veterans.
Alberta-NWT Command of the Legion is partnering with Fenety Marketing to
conduct a telephone appeal for sponsorship throughout Alberta and the
Territories. This will take place during the months of September, 2008 through
January, 2009 to request support for this remembrance project. Rising costs
and increased demands have caused the Legion, a completely self funded
organization, to explore new ways to raise revenue and continue their
programs.
Sponsorship and advertising proceeds raised for the Legion will be used
to improve services to Veterans and support youth and community organizations
in the more than 175 communities that have a Legion presence across Alberta
and the NWT.
