MFDA Sets Date to Resume Hearing on the Merits in the Matter of Marlene Legare



    TORONTO, Jan. 30 /CNW/ - The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada
("MFDA") commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Marlene Legare by
Notice of Hearing dated June 12, 2008.
    The hearing of this matter on its merits, which commenced on December 15,
2008, has been scheduled to resume on March 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific),
or as soon thereafter as the hearing can be held, in the hearing room located
at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, 900 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British
Columbia.
    The hearing is open to the public except as may be required for the
protection of confidential matters.
    A copy of the Notice of Hearing is available on the MFDA website at
www.mfda.ca.

    The MFDA is the self-regulatory organization for Canadian mutual fund
dealers. The MFDA regulates the operations, standards of practice and business
conduct of its 153 Members and their approximately 75,000 Approved Persons
with a mandate to protect investors and the public interest.
