MFDA Hearing Panel Issues Reasons for Decision with Respect to Penalty in the Gerard and Mavis Brake Disciplinary Hearing



    TORONTO, Feb. 27 /CNW/ - A Hearing Panel of the Prairie Regional Council
of the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada ("MFDA") has issued its
Reasons for Decision with respect to penalty in connection with the
disciplinary hearing held in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 19, 2009 in
respect of Gerard Brake and Mavis Brake.
    A copy of the Reasons for Decision with respect to penalty is available
on the MFDA website at www.mfda.ca.

    The MFDA is the self-regulatory organization for Canadian mutual fund
dealers. The MFDA regulates the operations, standards of practice and business
conduct of its 152 Members and their approximately 75,000 Approved Persons
with a mandate to protect investors and the public interest.
