MFDA Announces Date and Location for Continuation of Marlene Legare Hearing



    TORONTO, Aug. 11 /CNW/ - The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada
("MFDA") commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Marlene Legare by
Notice of Hearing dated June 12, 2008.
    The hearing of this matter on its merits resumed on May 25 and 28, 2009
and was adjourned to a date, time and location to be announced.
    The hearing has been scheduled to resume on November 4-6, 2009 at 10:00
a.m. (Pacific), or as soon thereafter as the hearing can be held, at the
Empire Landmark Hotel, 1400 Robson Street, Vancouver, British Columbia. The
hearing will be open to the public except as may be required for the
protection of confidential matters.
    A copy of the Notice of Hearing is available on the MFDA website at
www.mfda.ca.

    The MFDA is the self-regulatory organization for Canadian mutual fund
dealers, regulating the operations, standards of practice and business conduct
of its 145 Members and their approximately 75,000 Approved Persons with a
mandate to protect investors and the public interest.
