TORONTO, Feb. 11 /CNW/ - Bill McDonald, Group Publisher, Metro English
Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Lutes to the position of
Publisher for Metro Halifax.
Greg is no stranger to Metro; he was Metro Toronto's first publisher and
he played a pivotal role in Metro's success in the first 4 years of
publishing. Greg left Metro in 2004 to take on the role of Publisher of the
Moncton Times & Transcript. Prior to joining Metro Toronto, he also worked for
several leading media companies in a variety of senior sales and management
roles. Greg brings an in-depth understanding of the media landscape in
Atlantic Canada, as well as the newspaper industry, to his new role.
Greg is thrilled about the opportunity in front of him, commenting: "It
is very exciting to be back with the Metro family. Halifax, with its young,
upwardly mobile population is the ideal market for the free daily - Metro."
Greg's position as Publisher of Metro Halifax is effective immediately.
