LONGUEUIL, QC, Sept. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain
Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) and the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ)
wish to announce that the access ramp to La Prairie will be completely closed
to traffic from 10 p.m., Friday, September 4, until 5 a.m., Monday, September
7. Please remember that access to Mercier Bridge from Châteauguay (ramp 4) is
also closed to traffic.
During this work, drivers will be able to access Mercier Bridge by the
access ramp from La Prairie, which will be reduced to one lane. Users coming
from Châteauguay should continue to use the detour road setup from Highway 138
in place since June.
In addition, access to Mercier Bridge will be slowed occasionally by
traffic interruptions as work progresses.
From Montreal, those heading towards La Prairie must take the exit ramp
to Châteauguay (ramp 3), then use the Route 207 exit (Chemin Saint-Isidore) to
return to Route 138 heading towards La Prairie via the access road connecting
Route 138 and Route 132.
We encourage travelers to use other South Shore bridges and the transit
system during this construction period.
