Members of 1958 University at Buffalo football team available at Rogers Centre



    TORONTO, Jan. 2 /CNW/ - Members of the 1958 University at Buffalo
football team, who turned down an opportunity to play in the Tangerine Bowl
fifty years ago because of segregation laws in Orlando, FL are in Toronto
along with the 2008 team to take part in the school's first ever Bowl game
appearance.
    The following are media opportunities available today specific to the
1958 team:

    
    11:00 a.m.         International Bowl Kick-Off Luncheon
                       Sheraton Hotel
                       Meet and greet with Rev. Jesse Jackson along with
                       coaches, administrators, players from each school and
                       members of the 1958 team.

    2:20 p.m.          Buffalo team walk-through on field at Rogers Centre
                       Special presentation by UB President John Simpson and
                       Athletic Director Warde Manuel
    

    The International Bowl is the only NCAA College Football game played
outside the United States. The 3rd International Bowl features MAC Champions
the University at Buffalo Bulls (8-5) vs. Big East representatives the
University of Connecticut Huskies (7-5) at Rogers Centre on Saturday, January
3 at noon.
